How to make chocolate ice cream



Here's to make chocolate ice cream.

Ingredients: - 2 cups heavy cream - 1 cup whole milk - 3/4 cup granulated sugar - 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder - 4 egg yolks - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 


Instructions: 


1. In a medium saucepan, heat the heavy cream, milk, sugar, and cocoa powder over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth. 


2. In a medium bowl, whisk the egg yolks until they are light and frothy. 


3. Slowly pour the warm chocolate mixture into the bowl with the egg yolks, whisking constantly to temper the eggs. 


4. Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon or spatula, until the mixture thickens and coats the back of the spoon or spatula, about 5-8 minutes. 


5. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean bowl. 


6. Stir in the vanilla extract. 


7. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, pressing the wrap onto the surface of the mixture to prevent a skin from forming. 


8. Refrigerate the mixture until it is completely chilled, at least 2 hours. 


9. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions. 


10. Transfer the churned ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze until firm. That's it! Homemade chocolate ice cream is easy to make and delicious to eat. Enjoy!
